What to look at in a print
- The blacks: they should be full, not dark grey. That only shows in person or in a good reproduction.
- The paper: matte or gloss changes the contrast; always ask what it is printed on.
- The edition: a numbered edition states how many copies exist. The guide to editions explains how to read it.
- The light: black and white minds the wall colour less, but fears direct sun. See the conservation guide.
